Reggio Emilia is ready for its new call to voluntary work.

The press conference took place on the 5th of December and on that occasion Municipality of Reggio Emilia presented the Euforex training to mass media and local stakeholders.

602 people answered to the civic call “Anche tu per esempio”, promoted by the Municipality of Reggio Emilia since 2011, to take part in one of the 156 volunteering projects organized in collaboration with the Third Sector Forum. Volunteers can be involved in a lot of different fields: educational and recreational activities, cultural projects, supporting people, promotion and communication, environmental protection and more.

This year the call “Anche tu per esempio” has the following partners: Local Health Unit, Santa Maria Nuova Hospital, Assembled Municipal Pharmacies, the companies Car Server and Coop consumatori Nordest and the service centre of volunteering associations Dar Voce.

Moreover, for young people between 15 and 29 years old, there is the “Youth call” that gives the possibility, in conjunction with the youth card released by the Municipality, of accumulating credits (every hour of voluntary work gives 2 credits). Volunteers can spend these credits  in educational and cultural activities and promotion and facilitation in stores.

Thanks to Euforex, this year ‘Anche tu per esempio’ is enhanced by a new opportunity: a training course for volunteers, which gives a certificate valid throughout Europe, the Volupass.

The training is completely free and it is divided into three modules for a total of ten hours.

The first module has the purpose to illustrate the characteristics of the project Euforex  and of the training proposed. The second and the third module, four hours each, respectively address opportunities that Europe offers to the world of volunteering and the major relational skills that should be acquired or upgraded to better manage relationships with others.

Both those who wish to become volunteers and those who are not yet can participate in the training program. The Volupass certificate is released as a result of hours of training proposals and the voluntary work certified by the project tutor of the entity in which the activity takes place.
